UFC Uruguay and Bare Knuckle FC 7: Quick Recap

August 11, 2019 by Christopher James

I went 10-3 tonight with my predictions for #UFCURUGUAY, and 6-2 with my picks for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 7 #BKFC7.

2 new champs earned their crowns at #BKFC, congratulations to New Featherweight Champion Helen “Iansã” Peralta who had an outstanding fight against now former champion Christine Ferea that needed all 5 rounds to decide the champion.

When the big guys step in the ring, it only takes one punch to end the night. New Heavyweight Champion Chase Sherman ended the reign of Arnold Adams, not with one punch, but an accumulation of well placed strikes including dropping the now former champion in the fifth and final round, and never giving Adams a chance to get into his patented fight rhythm. Sherman imposed his will, and is now the champion, and plans on staying the champion for a long time.

Jim Alers after destroying Leonard Garcia in round one for his second first round stoppage in as many attempts, next fight at #BKFC should be against Artem Lobov for the 155lb Championship. Both Alers and Lobov are 2-0 at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Lobov will bring the views, and the fight to the explosive Alers who may have found his calling in the combat sports world, and has already begun to bring his MMA fan-base to the Bare Knuckle scene, and they like what they’re seeing from “The Beast”!

Valentina Shevchenko did what was expected in a 5 round dominate performance in retaining her Flyweight title against Liz Carmouche (Official)

Mike Perry and Vicente Luque were the true stars of the night as they waged a fight of the night battle that should get a shot at Fight of the Year, yes it was that damn good!

Blood, blood, and more blood that’s what this fight delivered. Both Perry and Luque stood in front of one another and unleashed their respective striking arsenals on one another.

Perry lost to Luque via split-decision (28-29,29-28,29-28) in Uruguay. (check the official stats)

Perry, as usual, put on an incredible performance as did Luque and the extra $50,000 doesn’t seem adequate for the show they gave the world, especially where Perry is concerned. Perry was transported to a local hospital post fight, no update as of this article going to press.
