Professional Fighters League (PFL MMA) Lightweight Champion Kayla Harrison has been given permission by PFL management to fight at Invicta Fighting Championships.
Harrison, who hasn’t fought since capturing the million-dollar prize in last seasons tournament has been itching to stay busy, and her wish has been granted while PFL continues to remain inactive in 2020 due to the pandemic.
I’m interested to see if any other fighters on the PFL roster will be afforded the same opportunity to get back to work while PFL figures out their plans for 2021.
2x Featherweight Champion Lance Palmer has been vocal about this issue of inactivity, and while no fight for him has been spoken of, I’m sure he is smiling with this latest development, which should open the door for other out of work PFL athletes to return to fighting!
Harrison will debut as a featherweight at INVICTA 43 on November 20th against Courtney King. Could this be a prelude to a jump to the UFC that is in dire need of female featherweights and Harrison would certainly be an impact player and an immediate title contender?
