“Dem Soon Find Out”, that little catchphrase has become somewhat of a moniker for Orlando’s and Fusion X- Cel’s own Philip ” The Fresh Prince” Rowe, a welterweight mixed martial artist who has been itching for quite some time to get a shot with the UFC.
August 20th, he will get what he’s been asking for as he will be in Las Vegas, Nevada fighting on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series live on ESPN+ from the new UFC Apex.
Rowe, who is no stranger to being around the UFC or it’s athletes as he trains with, and has cornered teammates like Mike Perry and Jacare Souza at UFC events will certainly be calm, ready and focused on the task at hand and the lights of Las Vegas will be of no distraction to this focused athlete.
Rowe who can stand and strike with the best of them, and enjoys a long reach advantage against most of his opponents is also able to take the fight to the ground. Not just in a defensive posture because Rowe can, and will take anyone to the ground if he feels that is where he will be most successful. In other words, The Fresh Prince is capable of fighting anyone and any style.
Rowe an Island Fights veteran who is 6-2 as a professional is an athlete who is continuously evolving, and with a team full of UFC pros around him Rowe has an outstanding chance to join them on the UFC roster, and continue to put eyes on their gym Fusion X-Cel which is gaining a worldwide reputation as one of the best gyms in the world under the tutelage of head coach Julien Williams. A fact that has been known for quite some time in Florida.
Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and the world are about to be introduced properly to Phil “The Fresh Prince” Rowe, I hope they’re ready!
