Another Island Fights veteran will debut before the end of this year inside the octagon of the UFC as Jacob “The Killer” Kilburn signs a 4 fight contract and with that a short notice fight at UFC D.C. against fellow newcomer and Contender Series veteran as well Billy Quarantillo on December 7th from the nation’s capital.
Kilburn who had an opportunity to get to the UFC last year when he took a fight on The Contender Series but unfortunately didn’t get the victory and of course that means he did not get a contract. Never one to be told he can’t do something, he took a little time off and went back to the gym to fix a few things, the result he’s on a two-fight winning streak with both wins coming by way of knockout.
Kilburn will be the 1st fighter out of Clarksville Tennessee to debut in the octagon. Being the 1st one out of a small town to grace the octagon means the world to him. He works hard, he give back to the community, and he’s a proud “Clarksvilleian” Looking to let the world know that the small town might just produce the biggest star the octagon has ever seen!
Quarantillo (12-2) earned his contract earlier this summer when he appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series and was originally scheduled to face Chris Fishgold in Washington DC. Fishgold pulled out last week and in steps Kilburn (8-2) to take his place.
2 talented young featherweights both making their octagon debut, which is the way it should be when at all possible. These 2 young guns are going to open a lot of eyes on December 7th and don’t be surprised if there is some bonus money for one both fighters when this one’s over!
