Francesco Ricchi fought Noah Cutter on Friday, November 13th at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship #BKFC14. It was one helluva fight as Cutter controlled it early and nearly finished Ricchi. However, Ricchi showed his true warrior spirit and mounted what many people thought was the comeback win of the year when he finished Cutter in the 3rd round via TKO.
What we didn’t know was that Ricchi had sustained what we would later find out was a life-threatening injury after sustaining an injury to his larynx after an errant pair of punches caught him in the throat. Ricchi ended up hospitalized, and in a medically induced coma from the injury. He had blood in his lungs, and luckily the good folks at Broward General Hospital were on point and able to act swiftly to save this man’s life so he could share his story with all of us. Ricchi took home the win but nearly suffered the biggest loss in doing so.
I had Ricchi on The Cage Side with Christopher James Show on Thursday, December 17th to discuss it all. Here is the exclusive, and first media appearance by Ricchi since fight night. Grateful to be able to bring this incredible story to all of you.
