Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship President Mr. David Feldman was a surprise guest on the Cage Side with Christopher James Show on Monday night and we found out some very interesting information about things taking place inside the promotion.
He 1st told us about the BKTV app going live in the Google play store and the app store from Apple. He let us know that the content that we see on this new platform isn’t going to just feature BKFC fights, but also will feature bare-knuckle boxing and fighting promotions from around the globe.
When I asked him about possible co-promotion where his fighters could possibly face fighters from some of these other bare knuckle companies, he said that it is absolutely something that they are looking at, and is more than likely going to take place. I was really excited to hear that because it opens up so many interesting possibilities for fights in the sport of bare-knuckle fighting/boxing.
Another very interesting tidbit came out of his mouth that truly raised the bar! In October of this year, BKFC is going to be heading to Thailand to bring their brand of bare-knuckle fighting to the other side of the world. I was excited about that information for 2 reasons, 1st, that was breaking news that had not been released anywhere else and it’s always nice to get an exclusive piece of information, and secondly, global expansion is very exciting.
Had the world not been put on an indefinite pause due to the COVID 19 pandemic, BKFC would have already hosted four more events, as they were on fire! Moving at the speed of light some would say to completely put their brand on the biggest platform possible, and growing a sport from infancy to toddler stage, and had we not had to slow down this company might be labeled as a teenager kicking ass and taking names along the way.
Mr. Feldman also told us that next week they are going to announce the biggest offer to an athlete in the history of the promotion. I did try to coax the information out of him, but he wasn’t budging on releasing it.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has taken the world by storm! Bringing to the masses the purest form of combat sport that we have ever seen. They continue to build their roster, which now includes Hector Lombard and Thiago Alves, and many more are coming to join the revolution!
Mr. Feldman also told us that there will be additions to what is already an outstanding team including Island Fights CEO Dean Toole and yours truly! In what capacity Dean and myself will be involved has not been revealed yet, but I know both of us are excited for the opportunity to work with this show in any capacity!
BKFC returns to action July 24th in Oxford Mississippi featuring the main event for the inaugural 155-pound title between Jim Alers and Luis Palomino, as well as a great bout between Elvin Brito vs. Kaleb Harris, and the debut of heavyweights Dillon Cleckler and Frank Tate. This event will also be free to watch on all BKFC platforms as Feldman wants to give back to the fans. BKFC will lose some money on this one with no PPV revenue, and only 25% of fan capacity allowed to be in the arena. Add to that equation that Feldman does pay his athletes very well, the promotion goes into this event knowing that they are going to take a loss, but moves forward anyway with that same fervor and energy that brought them to our attention in the first place.
