Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship continues to be the people’s choice when it comes to presenting fights that people want to see, and fights that are going to be exciting! That trend seemingly continues as they are announcing bouts for BKFC8 October 19th, in Tampa, Florida.
BKFC President David Feldman has put together a doozy of a fight that will feed the fans appetite for all-out violence and should be tabbed as the frontrunner for Fight of the Night honors even though we are still 5+ weeks away from the event.
Julian Lane vs. Jim Alers! A matchup that if I’m being honest I didn’t see coming nor did I think of, yet I am pleasantly surprised that Mr. Feldman booked this fight!
Lane who after a stint on the Ultimate Fighter and an up-and-down run in mixed martial arts has found his groove in the world of bare-knuckle fighting. Becoming a bare-knuckle world champion in his very 1st attempt at this sport, Lane is to be taken seriously by anybody who is willing to step into the ring with him. He welcomes the violence, he’ll take one to give one, and he’s not going to quit! In other words, if you’re fighting Julian, you’re gonna be in a fight!
Lane, who is coming off a unanimous decision victory that earned him and his opponent Tom Shoaff “Fight of the Night” honors at BKFC6, which took place in Tampa earlier this summer, and he is ready to capitalize on his momentum.
Jim Alers has surprised everybody in the world of bare-knuckle fighting with two signature, highlight-reel knockouts in back-to-back appearances with the promotion. I say surprised because, during his mixed martial arts career which included a run in the UFC, he was never known as the knockout artist we have seen unleashed inside the BKFC ring
1st dispatching Elvin Leon Britto in a mere 44 seconds in his debut with BKFC. He followed that victory up with a first-round knockout of Leonard Garcia in a little over 90 seconds in his second fight with the promotion after such a stellar performance in his debut!
Lane is known for his famous tagline “Let Me Bang Bro”, as well as his willingness to actually do just that, will certainly be put in a position where if he doesn’t, he’s likely going to get finished quickly which seems to be the calling card of the self-proclaimed “Bare Knuckle Beast Jim Alers who wants to get in, get out and collect his paycheck!
I don’t know who is going to win this fight, it’s truly a very intriguing match up. What I do know is that no matter who wins, we are going to be treated to an all-out slugfest between 2 guys that have no problem performing under the bright lights. Which make me say I know exactly who wins, the fans!
BKFC 8 takes place Saturday, October 19th at The Florida State Fairgrounds and will stream via FITE.TV.
