The UFC featherweight division, known as one of the toughest divisions in the organization just became a bit tougher as a train is pulling into the station.
The Landwehr express has arrived and is ready to take on all passengers that are ready for a ride.
Nate “The Train” Landwehr the reigning M1-Global featherweight champion and XFC veteran is now part of the UFC. Another fighter making his way to the octagon out of Tennessee which has given us fighters like Scott Holtzman and perennial light heavyweight contender Ovince St Preux.
“It’s been a long time coming and We took the hard road straight through Russia always reppin CLARKSVILLE never padded my record, fighting only the best we could find. It’s always been about family since day one and the first fights in smoky bars my people always come and are the loudest and wildest in the whole arena. “Team Train” will never be just me but everyone that is behind me since day one. I love M-1 Global they have given me a chance to prove myself on the world stage. I will never forget them, but now it’s time to prove myself once again, this time for the UFC and win over each household of America.” – Nate
Like his fellow Tennessee fighters, Landwehr is a rough and tumble gritty all-in fighter that always leaves it all inside the cage. Whether the fight goes to the ground or a stand-up fight is what lies in front of him, you can be sure that if Landwehr is in the cage, you’re gonna see a fight. Even if his opponent isn’t willing to wage war, Landwehr is, and will.
With a record of 13-2 and 8 of those wins coming by way of knockout “The Train” will always come to work full steam ahead as he knows no other way than to bring it all when the cage door closes.
Landwehr who has been grinding for quite some time to achieve his goal of fighting in the UFC recently signed with Suckerpunch Entertainment to represent him. With a great team now in place headed up by Suckerpunch founder and CEO Brian Butler, all the pieces are now in place for this talented good ol boy from Clarksville to show the world that he belongs amongst the best fighters in the world, and will prove it inside the octagon.
Below is the video of Nate telling his family about signing with the UFC.
